Historically, the term “witch hunt” has been loaded with fear, injustice, and cruelty. Nowadays, it’s everywhere, often used as a quick way to accuse, isolate, and punish. Too often, it’s thrown around without fairness, facts, or empathy.
I’ve seen it happen in our own community. I saw it again this summer. And I say: it’s wrong.
To my esteemed colleagues, friends, and fellow members of the Polish community—let us choose a better path. If someone has made a mistake, if you disagree with them, resist the urge to shame or ostracize. Don’t engage in a witch hunt. Don’t be cruel.
Instead, offer understanding. Offer forgiveness. Offer a second chance.
Because that’s how communities heal. That’s how we grow. And that’s how we honor the values we claim to uphold.
Let’s be better. Together.
