Fulbright Scholars At The UW Polish Studies

Fulbright Program For UW Polish Studies

Fulbright Scholars from Poland have been enriching programs offered by the UW Slavic Department for several years now. Their yearly visits at the University of Washington have been financed in part by the UW Polish Studies Endowment Committee (UW PSEC).

On the occasion of 2021 being the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Program, UW PSEC is joining the celebration by organizing a webinar where Polish Fulbright Scholars will talk about their experiences at the University of Washington and impact the scholarships had both on their careers and on programs offered by the University of Washington.

The participants include:

  • Justyna Budzik, Ph. D, an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Culture Studies, University of Silesia in Katowice; she was in Seattle during 2017-2018 academic year.
  • Jacek Mikołajczyk, Ph. D, teaches at the Academy of Music in  Warsaw and is also the Artistic Director at the Syrena Theater in Warsaw; he was in Seattle during 2013-2014 academic year.
